BAFA Announce Creation of Welfare and Equity Panel

The British American Football Association is looking to recruit a number of senior people from within all aspects of the sport to form a Welfare and Equity panel.

As part of the Impact and Improvement work BAFA has revised its Equity Policy Document and has reviewed its support of the Equity agenda.
 
The creation of the Welfare and Equity panel will see two key areas of Governing Body focus allied together with dedicated personnel who will work to support and lead where necessary, on ensuring that BAFA's work in these areas is characterised by best practice.
 
The panel will comprise four members and will be chaired by the BAFA Vice Chair Charles Macnamara.
 
BAFA Vice Chair Charles Macnamara said of the move Ensuring that we appropriately meet the needs of our members is of paramount importance. In creating the Welfare and Equity panel we will be ensuring that we are placing both equity and welfare at the very heart of BAFA's work.
 
He continued We are currently finalising the terms of reference for the panel and will advertise the roles shortly. Our revised Equity policy will also be made available as a download from this weekend.
