BAFA attends CCPR CEO Convention

BAFA Finance Director, Glen Schild and BAFA WSP Manager, Ken Walters, recently attended the CCPR Chief Executive Officers Convention in Leicester.

Speaking on the Convention, Ken Walters commented, “As ever, attendance at a CCPR event has enlightened me to new things that will help us to deliver our sport”.

Topics and presentations discussed at the convention included:

  • Military precision to sporting success – Major General Garry Robison
  • Inspirational Leadership – Tesse Akpeki
  • Creating buy in – CASS Business School
  • Managing change – Pharos
  • How to create an effective strategy – Howard Wells (CEO, Irish Football Federation)
  • Managing and implementing a strategy – a panel including Roger Draper (LTA), Piers Martin (British Fencing), David Sherrat (Grand National Archery Association) and Lisa Wainwright (Volleyball England)

The BAFA would like to take the opportunity to thank the CCPR and colleagues in sport for this valuable event in the sporting calendar.
