Following the meeting held today between the Board of Directors of the British American Football Association (BAFA) and representatives of the clubs who compete in community football, BAFA is delighted to announce a unanimous statement of intent from attendees to move from the proposed 2010 BAFL season to one which will be operated by the BAFA Community Leagues Organising Committee (CLOC).

BAFA Chairman Gary Marshall said We are delighted with the response from the teams present at today's meeting.

The meeting concluded with breakout sessions with all the representatives fully engaged in discussing the future of their competitions under BAFA and the Community League structure.

The CLOC will be communicating with everyone involved in community football and BAFA will be pleased to receive applications from all other teams to play a full part in the new Community League.

BAFA will publish further details relating to the Community League and other issues discussed shortly.
