The BAFA are delighted to confirm that the Scotland V England game - to be played on February 24 at Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh - will be officially called the ‘BAFA Home Nations Youth Trophy’. In addition, the BAFA are delighted to confirm that Wilson Sporting Goods will be supporting the event with game day apparel (via the new BAFL official product deal) and a new trophy.
The trophy - which will be known as ‘the Wilson Trophy’ - will be manufactured by Crescent Silver in Birmingham (manufacturers of the Boston Trophy) and will be a representation of the Wilson ‘W’.
BAFA Chairman, Gary Marshall, commented, "We are delighted to have the support of a major brand such as Wilson for this event. The discounted game-day apparel will be added to the assets of the NP - and the new trophy will be competed for by the BAFA nations for many years to come". Gary concluded, "We would like to thank both the BAFLShop and Stuart Preece of Wilson Sporting Goods for all their efforts to raise the profile of this event".
