BAFA seeks Lions Head Coaches

BAFA is seeking to appoint a new Head Coach for each of the following teams:
GB Lions Youth (u-19) Contact
GB Lions Youth (u-19) Flag
GB Lions Junior (u-17) Flag

The GB Lions is the British national team at each level and discipline. As such we are looking to appoint candidates of high quality who can make a significant contribution to the BAFA National Programme by building a successful team.

Applicants must hold a minimum BAFCA Level 1 qualification. Applicants should have experience acting in the capacity of a head coach; previous experience with international football and/or youth football is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will display strong leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills; be well presented and a good spokesperson; have a solid understanding of football techniques, strategies, practice and game procedures; and be able to plan and implement long-term development strategies for the team and all team members.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and the candidates selected for these positions must complete an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Application Form which will be provided once the selection process has been completed. BAFA will cover the cost of this.

Applications received by 26/05/08 will receive preferential consideration but each post will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. BAFA reserves the right to invite applications. Interviews will be arranged for candidates who pass the initial selection.

Each appointment will initially be until December 31st 2009, with continuation possible. The positions are unsalaried, but agreed expenses will be paid.
