On the inagural BingoLotto show earlier this evening Antonio Fargas, who played Huggy Bear in the seventies hit show, Starsky and Hutch, won £10,000 for the British American Football Association!

Antonio, whose son, Justin Fargas, plays for Oakland Raiders in the NFL, has a huge love for American Football and always tries to get to game or two whenever he is in Great Britain. Eighteen months ago, Antonio was spotted in the crowd at the British American Football League (BAFL) National Championships - BritBowl XXI - at Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield by commentator, OJ Borg (see picture insert). Antonio has been a great friend of American Football in Great Britain ever since.

BAFA Chairman, Gary Marshall said "I would like to thank Antonio for all the work he has done promoting the BAFA this past week and winning £10,000 is the icing on the cake! The money will be put to good use by the sport as we strive to start some of our grass roots projects".

Antonio arrived in the UK last Monday and has been busy all week at a number of promotional events including a photo-call at Trafalgar Square with current National Champions, London Blitz, on the run up to the show that went out live on Virgin 1 and Challenge TV.
